Work Philosophy

My professional life and my spiritual life are integrated and nearly seamless. Liturgical design involves the mind, body & spirit _ and time. There is an ecumenical unity of searching for spiritual grounding as well as a need for denominational identity. It is both physical and spiritual. Heschel writes of the architecture of space and the architecture of time. This is where wonderful design begins. With my colleagues, we work collaboratively with our clients and consultant teams, focusing on listening and reflective probing to understand the client’s needs and desires. The visioning sessions are comprehensive, interactive and involve multiple communication methods. Though an iterative series of design steps, ideas are refined, finalized and prepared for construction.
